I took this picture back in may during a Baby Bump shoot (see the full post here) before I moved to Texas.
I was precariously perched on a "cliff" about 8 feet higher than the couple I was photographing. Fortunately no injuries occurred, even though getting down was far more challenging than getting up there.
It has been said that "a picture is worth a thousands words." I believe that a picture that captures a moment is worth so much more. There are things in life that can't be replaced or relived, but a photograph can bring back those feelings in a rush. To me photography is more than just angles and lenses, its about the little things that become unforgettable.

Photo Challenge #4
This week's challenge is Dinner. I was a little intimidated by this challenge and had NO IDEA what I was going to do. I decided to stop Stressing about it and just take a picture of what I was making as opposed to trying to make something fancy.
Mule and I saw a commercial for the Velveeta Skillets meals and decided to give it a try.
It was super Delish! And oh so cheesey :) And no I wasn't paid to talk about this product. I paid money for it and I will do so again! Mule LOVED it.

Nathan and Danielle's Wedding
Back in October I photographed a good friends wedding. She was a gorgeous bride in a custom dress that her Aunt helped her design and make. This past week they had their first baby, a Boy named William. I couldn't be happier for them and in celebration I thought I'd post a few pics from their magical day.

Bold Colors - Week 3
This week's challenge is Bold colors. I was having a heck of a time coming up with an idea for this... then I hung some material I washed for a sewing project out on the line to dry, and the rest, as they say, is history...
It rained this morning, here in my part of texas for the first time since the June! While it hasn't done much to help the grass the breeze felt wonderful and it blew the laundry around just enough to make the shot a little more interesting.
Of course my new puppy (can we say AWESOME birthday present :D) Kai wanted in on the laundry action as well.
Opps... kinda cut her head off. The little darling barely ever stays still long enough for me to get a decent shot.
Isn't she adorable? I distracted her with a treat to get this LOL
Its not too late to join the challenge!

What makes me happy...
It is week 2 of the 20 week photography challenge that I am participating in. This weeks challenge... Take a picture of what makes you happy.
This is my engagement ring. It belonged to my finace's mother and represents our future together. Every time I look at this ring I think of how he proposed and I smile. This wasn't my original idea for this weeks challenge. Mule and I were supposed to go to the beach on the weekend, but it was wayyyyy too hot (we're talking 110+). I had the perfect shot constructed in my head. I wanted a picture of Mule, with our engagement ring in his hand standing just in the edge of the lake. It looks amazing in my head :D I may still do it next time we're at the lake.
Here are a few other things that make my happy...
My neighbor's horse :) She eats all Mules left over veggies :p
My new (to me) sewing machine from my mother in law to be (read all about that here)
Other things that make me happy that I don't have pictures of at the moment are my family, my blogs, coffe and my friends.
IF you'd like to participate in the photography challenge, its not too late! :)
