It has been said that "a picture is worth a thousands words." I believe that a picture that captures a moment is worth so much more. There are things in life that can't be replaced or relived, but a photograph can bring back those feelings in a rush. To me photography is more than just angles and lenses, its about the little things that become unforgettable.

Week 10–Hands

I borrowed Mules hands for this one. I couldn’t figure out a way to use my own with out a tripod.

hands 009-3

I draped black fabric over part of his arms and knees so there was a solid background. Grabbed a desk lamp to avoid shadows and allow for some warmth in the lighting.

hands 009-4

Edit Number 1. Made it black and white and did some cropping, but that’s about it.

hands 009-5

Edit Number 2. Changed it to Sepia tones, added some softening to draw the eye in and cropped the edges.

Personally I love the second one and plan on blowing this up and framing it for the living room. Which one do you prefer?

Weeks 8 & 9

Ok... So I kinda suck and fell behind. No excuses. I've just been busy... really busy :)

Black and White...

This is my sister Emily. One of my favorite people on the planet. I look this pic just before I left for Texas.

A Mess...

This is just a small corner of my rediculously messy desk. I've been working my butt off getting ready for a fall market that I am participating in. Cleaning has taken a back seat for the next week or so. :S

Next weeks challenge: Hands!

Week #6 - Low Angle

This week the challenge wasn't too hard :)

I've been trying to write a letter a week to a friend or family member back home. This one is to my BFF and I jazzed it up a little with an adorable monkey stamp.

As a child I was always rediculously excited to get something in the mail and twenty plus years later that hasn't changed. If it has my name on it, its AMAZING until I open it and its another bill. Not so cool then.
