It has been said that "a picture is worth a thousands words." I believe that a picture that captures a moment is worth so much more. There are things in life that can't be replaced or relived, but a photograph can bring back those feelings in a rush. To me photography is more than just angles and lenses, its about the little things that become unforgettable.

What makes me happy...

It is week 2 of the 20 week photography challenge that I am participating in. This weeks challenge... Take a picture of what makes you happy.

This is my engagement ring. It belonged to my finace's mother and represents our future together. Every time I look at this ring I think of how he proposed and I smile. This wasn't my original idea for this weeks challenge. Mule and I were supposed to go to the beach on the weekend, but it was wayyyyy too hot (we're talking 110+). I had the perfect shot constructed in my head. I wanted a picture of Mule, with our engagement ring in his hand standing just in the edge of the lake. It looks amazing in my head :D I may still do it next time we're at the lake.

Here are a few other things that make my happy...

My neighbor's horse :) She eats all Mules left over veggies :p

My new (to me) sewing machine from my mother in law to be (read all about that here)

Other things that make me happy that I don't have pictures of at the moment are my family, my blogs, coffe and my friends.

IF you'd like to participate in the photography challenge, its not too late! :)
