It has been said that "a picture is worth a thousands words." I believe that a picture that captures a moment is worth so much more. There are things in life that can't be replaced or relived, but a photograph can bring back those feelings in a rush. To me photography is more than just angles and lenses, its about the little things that become unforgettable.

Week 10–Hands

I borrowed Mules hands for this one. I couldn’t figure out a way to use my own with out a tripod.

I draped black fabric over part of his arms and knees so there was a solid background. Grabbed a desk lamp to avoid shadows and allow for some warmth in the lighting.

Edit Number 1. Made it black and white and did some cropping, but that’s about it.

hands 009-5

Edit Number 2. Changed it to Sepia tones, added some softening to draw the eye in and cropped the edges.

Personally I love the second one and plan on blowing this up and framing it for the living room. Which one do you prefer?

  1. I think they turned out great and couldn't choose which I liked better. I think I would pick whichever one goes with your decor better. Great photo.
